ShipIT:
ShipIt helps you seamlessly integrate your outbound shipment processing into your internal or customer-facing system(s). You get full control of the user interface and experience while maintaining platform independence between your systems and DHL’s.

With ShipIt you can rate a U.S. origin shipment, book a U.S. origin shipment, receive a response with label information or cancel a booked shipment.

ShipIT enables you to transmit outbound shipment information to DHL in a standardized XML format and receive real-time responses. With ShipIt, you can:

• Book a U.S. origin shipment and receive label data and images
• Void outbound shipment transactions
• Register locations to ship via DHL
• Receive rate estimations for potential shipments

ShipIt uses secure and reliable technologies to provide a direct interface with DHL’s systems. HTTP posts deliver your data over the internet in real time. Your data is only accessible with your ID and password.

Using this framework, you will be able to transmit shipment information to DHL in a standardized format with real-time response. Responses will include all data required to format and print a return shipment label, including the assigned tracking number, label image (If desired) and detailed information regarding any errors.

How to Order:
If you are interested in the XML API’s you have the choice of either implementing a DHL-certified third party vendor module or developing your own solution.

Option 1:
If you choose to develop your own solution will need to have your application certified by XML API support but can opt / specify what features (or limitations) your application will be certified under. Vendors will need to certify to the full set of requirements in order to have their solution recognized as a DHL-certified third party vendor module.

If you want to implement a third party vendor module you will be granted production access to those API's for which that module has been certified.
