Biography:

It was no surprise when Sarah Will received a U.S. Paralympic Spirit Award. She has the skill, she has the spirit and she had a sizzling 2002 season. At 5'1" and only 99 pounds, Sarah Will took the 2002 Paralympic alpine skiing gold medal sweep, winning all four races and a U.S. Paralympic Spirit Award. She saw four more victories at the World Cup and also brought home two Europa Cup wins.

Born on June 10, 1965, Sarah was only 4-years-old when she first hit the slopes at Vermont's Pico Ski Area. She began racing in college, but in 1988 she was involved in a ski accident and broke her back. Not even a painful accident could keep Sarah off the slopes for long. She enrolled in Winter Park's disabled program, and won her first title in 1991. A year later she took her first two Paralympic titles. Today, Sarah is a motivational and public speaker. She organizes a Vail Mono-ski Camp and hopes to continue to race.
