Relationship
In 2004, DHL announced it was the Official Express Delivery and Logistics Provider of the United States Olympic Team for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. As an Official Supplier of the U.S. Olympic Team, DHL provided express delivery services to and from Athens for staff of the U.S. Olympic Committee and sport National Governing Bodies (NGB), U.S. athletes, volunteers, and attending sponsors.

DHL has announced that for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy, it will extend its relationship to include the U.S. Paralympic Team. DHL has also signed to become the presenting sponsor of the prestigious U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Spirit Awards for 2006. The 2006 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Spirit Awards Delivered by DHL will recognize U.S. athletes and teams who best exemplify the Olympic Spirit both in competition and in their personal lives.

Shipping Services
As an Official Provider of the U.S. Olympic Team, DHL will contribute directly to the team's success on a global stage by delivering their sporting equipment, team apparel, and other supplies to Torino. DHL exclusively provides a variety of express delivery and logistics services to fulfill the shipping needs of the U.S. Olympic Committee and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams.

During the Games, DHL will provide express delivery and logistics services to and from Torino for staff of the U.S. Olympic Committee and sport National Governing Bodies (NGB), U.S. athletes, volunteers, and attending sponsors.

DHL will also have on-site shipping assistance in Torino for all goods that U.S. athletes need to ship home or to their next competition, as well as shipping centers at the USA House and the Olympic Athlete Village. As part of an employee recognition program, DHL U.S. employees will have the opportunity to work at the DHL shipping centers in Torino throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
