Shipping Dangerous Goods

DHL is an established carrier of Dangerous Goods and as a leading transportation and logistics company, DHL Express adheres to the following regulation:
  • IATA for air transport, applicable within all countries which work under the ICAO regulations and any airline under the IATA regulations or governed under 49 CFR.
  • Shippers are responsible to confirm if their dangerous goods shipments will transit to destination by air or road and prepare the shipment accordingly.

Training for Customers

DHL offers IATA based training seminars for shippers of dangerous goods by air. The 2-day Initial course is for shippers who are not currently certified, and the 1-day recurrent course is for the certificate holder approaching their expiration date. Seminars are scheduled at select cites across the US in 2014, and can be provided at a shipper’s facility.
