Quick start step by step
1. New to DHL?
Registration is quick and easy. And as a registered user, you’ll have access to services and tools to help you ship your packages easily and efficiently. Register Now.
2. Choose your delivery service.
See the International Services section for descriptions of our delivery services.
3. Prepare your shipment.
Use appropriate packaging for your shipment. For free shipping supplies, use our Supplies application. If the type of supplies you need are not available online or you need larger quantities, Contact Us
4. Complete and attach your shipping label.
Did you know DHL has made preparing shipping labels easier than ever? Our DHL WebShip application lets you store your frequent shipment destinations in an address book to be sure your labels are easy-to-read and accurate every time. Just register, then click the Ship button.
5. Get your shipment to DHL.
Choose from either of these options:
  • Use a Drop Box or Drop Off facility.
    To find the Drop Box or Drop Off facility nearest you, use our Drop Off Locator.
  • Arrange for pickup.
    Use the Pickups application, or Contact Us.
6. Track your shipment online.
Just enter your tracking number or reference number into our web site's Track application. Up to 25 shipments can be tracked at one time.

Shipping Tips:
To ensure your shipments arrive on time and in proper condition, please follow these simple shipping tips:
  • Use sturdy corrugated cardboard boxes or DHL packaging for your air express shipments - it's free.
  • Wrap fragile materials individually so they do not touch each other.
  • Even the stickiest labels can come off an extra address label placed inside the package is a good precaution.
  • Remove old address/shipping labels from your packages.
Things to avoid:
  • Damaged containers.
  • Exceeding the weight specification of the shipment container.
  • Use of wrapping paper, string, cellophane or masking tape.
  • Allowing packages to get wet while awaiting pickup.
  • Including any information indicating high value of contents on the address label or outer package.
